The cost of dirty water
Dirty water causes huge problems for a wide variety of industries. Penalties for discharging wastewater containing above permitted levels of pollutants are huge, and are only going to become more punitive. The disposal of wastewater created by construction and dredging industries is also enormously costly.
Contaminated water must be removed by tanker or sealed tipper to a recognised and registered company to have any contamination removed before it is safely discharged.
As high as the economic cost of treating wastewater is, the cost to the environment of polluted water is even greater. Health can be affected. Delicate ecosystems can be destoyed. Using chemicals to purify contaminated water is counterintuitive and can create its own problems.
A mobile, modular sytem that takes contaminants out of wastewater
Laboratory trials* by Socotec proved that our sustainable natural material, ProCleanSorb, removes up to 99.5% of hydrocarbons, chemicals and heavy metals from water. It also lowers the pH of toxic concrete washout water to a neutral level. After use, ProCleanSorb is non-leaching to 0.06%. These results lead to the design and development of ProCleanWater.
ProCleanWater (IP registered) is a mobile, modular system designed to reduce (or remove) contamination from river or lake water, wastewater or water polluted through commercial or industrial processes. It is a completely natural system and chemicals will only be used to rebalance pH levels, where necessary.
