"It's reassuring to have your product on our sites protecting the Thames that we're trying to clean up and providing a temporary habitat. Thank you."
Darren White the Head of Sustainability for the whole of Tideway
Tideway is building the Thames Tideway Tunnel – London's new super sewer - a 25km tunnel under the river that will prevent the tens of millions of tonnes of pollution that currently pollute the Thames every year.
This vital expansion of London’s sewer network is due for completion in 2024, and is happening across 24 construction sites in London. One of these is at Dormay Street in Wandsworth, where our marine booms have been protecting the river for over a year.
They were chosen by the BMB jv (Bam Nuttall, Morgan Sindell & Balfour Beatty) because of their unique ability to cope with fast-flowing water while absorbing hydrocarbons and chemicals. They are also currently providing a growing environment for foliage! Proof that our SaveSorb-filled booms protect and conserve the environment in every way.
